Description
The POL-EKO DCL 1500 HF is the “Acid-Grade” workhorse of the CompactLine series. While most fume hoods use ceramic or resin, the HF version utilizes a thick lining of Polypropylene. This material is nearly inert to the most aggressive acids, ensuring that the interior of the hood will not pit, corrode, or degrade over time when exposed to heavy acid fumes.Advanced Airflow & Safety Features:Polypropylene Extraction System: Unlike standard models, the internal extraction slots and the rear-wall system are crafted from chemical-grade PP. This ensures that the most corrosive vapors are safely directed out of the building without damaging the hood’s infrastructure.Double Rear Wall: The design extracts air from both the top and bottom of the working chamber.3 This is critical for acid work, as many acid vapors are heavy and tend to settle near the worktop.Schneider Airflow Monitoring: Standard equipment includes the Schneider FM 550-A-0-E monitoring system. It provides real-time digital feedback on face velocity and alerts the user immediately if airflow falls below the safe threshold of 0.3?0.5 m/s.Ergonomics and Build Quality:The unit is built from 1.5 mm galvanized steel finished with chemically resistant epoxy powder paint. The worktop is a monolithic sheet of Polypropylene with a “marine edge” to contain spills, and it includes an integrated PP sink ($250 times 95 text{ mm}$). The front sash is made of 4 mm tempered glass (or optional polycarbonate for specific acid types) and operates on a precision counterweight system with a “Manual Protect” lock at 500 mm.Primary Applications:Inorganic Chemistry: Working with concentrated Hydrofluoric, Hydrochloric, and Sulfuric acids.Trace Metal Analysis: Sample digestion and preparation where metal-free environments are preferred.Semiconductor Research: Handling aggressive etching chemicals and solvents.Mining & Metallurgy: High-intensity mineral digestion and acid testing.
