Functional and Safety Features

  • Triple-Level Extraction: The walk-in version features a specialized rear baffle system with extraction slots at the top, middle, and floor levels. This ensures that heavy vapors settling near the floor are effectively removed along with lighter gases.

  • Telescopic Sash System: Features a vertically sliding window consisting of two independent panes. This allows for a very high opening for equipment setup while maintaining a safe working aperture during operation.

  • Floor-Level Access: The design allows for the easy introduction of mobile laboratory tables, large reactors, or drums without the need for lifting over a sill.

  • Airflow Monitoring: Equipped with the Schneider FM 550 controller which provides continuous monitoring of air velocity and triggers visual/acoustic alarms if conditions fall below EN 14175 safety levels.

  • Decompression System: A safety relief flap is integrated into the ceiling to safely vent pressure in the event of a rapid reaction or explosion inside the chamber.

  • External Utilities: Service valves and electrical sockets (IP44) are mounted on the side pillars outside the contaminated zone, providing easy control of gas, water, and power.

  • Anti-Drop Protection: The sash is equipped with a safety mechanism that prevents the window from falling in the event of a drive cable failure.
