Description
The POL-EKO DCL 1500 Tabletop is the ideal solution for laboratories that require a wide working area (1434 mm internal width) but have vertical height constraints or prefer to utilize existing benchtop infrastructure. Unlike the standard floor-standing models which come with integrated under-bench cabinets, this unit sits directly on top of your existing laboratory table or specialized stand.
Advanced Airflow & Safety Features:
Double Rear Wall System: Even in this compact format, the hood utilizes a dual-slot extraction system (top and bottom). This ensures that light vapors are pulled from the ceiling and heavy vapors are extracted from the worktop level, preventing the build-up of hazardous “dead zones.”
+1
Airflow Monitoring: Every unit is equipped with a Schneider FM 550-A-0-E monitoring system. It provides real-time digital feedback on face velocity and alerts the operator via audible and visual alarms if the airflow becomes insufficient (typically below 0.3?0.5 m/s).
Counterweighted Sash: The 4 mm tempered glass sash is balanced by a counterweight system for smooth operation. It features a safety mechanical lock at the 500 mm position to ensure optimal protection during work.
+1
Ergonomics and Build Quality: The unit is built from 1.5 mm galvanized steel (no wood components) and finished with chemically resistant epoxy powder paint. While the “BB” model comes with a powder-coated steel interior as standard, it can be customized with high-performance linings (Phenolic Resin, Ceramic, or Polypropylene) depending on your acid-usage requirements. It includes energy-saving LED lighting separated from the working chamber by a protective glass pane to prevent corrosion.
+1
Primary Applications:
Educational Laboratories: Providing a safe, visible workspace for chemistry demonstrations.
Small Pharmaceutical Labs: Handling volatile organic solvents or basic powder weighing.
Industrial QC: Routine testing of non-aggressive chemicals in satellite labs.
Electronics Repair: Protection during soldering or cleaning with hazardous solvents.

Decompression Safety: An integrated ceiling flap provides immediate pressure relief to protect the operator in the event of a rapid pressure spike or mild explosion within the chamber.
Â
-
Counterbalanced Sash: The vertical sliding window is balanced with a weight system and features an “anti-drop” mechanism to prevent the sash from falling if the cable fails.
Â
-
Service Utilities: Comes standard with four 230V electrical sockets, two water outlets, and two gas connections, all controlled via external valves on the side pillars.
-
Non-Turbulent Airflow: The aerodynamic design of the side pillars and sill minimizes turbulence at the face of the hood, ensuring high containment efficiency.
