Description
The POL-EKO DCL 1200 HF is a purpose-built solution for laboratories where hydrofluoric acid is a primary reagent. HF is uniquely hazardous because it attacks glass and ceramic surfaces. To ensure long-term durability and operator safety, the DCL 1200 HF replaces standard silicate-based materials with high-density polymers.
Engineered for HF Resistance:
Polycarbonate Sash: Standard toughened glass windows will become opaque and eventually fail when exposed to HF vapors. The DCL 1200 HF uses a high-grade polycarbonate window that remains clear and structurally sound.
Polypropylene Interior: The entire internal working chamber is lined with polypropylene (PP), a thermoplastic known for its exceptional resistance to strong acids.
Integrated PP Worktop: The unit features a monolithic polypropylene worktop with a marine edge to contain spills, complemented by a suspended PP sink.
Advanced Safety & Airflow:
Double Rear Wall System: This system features exhaust slots at both the top and bottom of the chamber. It ensures that vapors?whether lighter than air or heavy acid mists?are effectively removed without creating turbulent “dead zones.”

Schneider Monitoring: Every unit is equipped with a Schneider FM 550 airflow controller. It provides real-time digital monitoring of the face velocity and triggers audio-visual alarms if the airflow drops below safe limits, ensuring compliance with EN 14175.
+1
Safety Features: The counterbalanced sash includes a safety lock at 500 mm. For emergency situations, an integrated safety flap in the ceiling provides decompression in the event of an uncontrolled pressure increase.

Primary Applications:
Semiconductor Manufacturing: Wafer cleaning and etching processes.
Metallurgy: Glass and metal etching or mineral digestion.
Geology: Dissolution of silicate rock samples.
Chemical Research: Synthesis involving highly corrosive fluoride compounds.
Specifications
Fume Hood CompactLine DCL 1200 HF Specs
The DCL 1200 HF is a specialized version of the POL-EKO CompactLine series designed for the highest level of chemical resistance. The “HF” stands for Hydrofluoric Acid resistance, indicating that the internal chamber is constructed from polypropylene (PP). This material is essential for laboratories working with hydrofluoric acid, which aggressively attacks glass and ceramic linings used in other models.
